Unapologetically Me

I love that I know so many wonderful people but most people really don’t get to know me. I know it’s a hassle waiting for me to type. Trust me, I see the eye rolls, hear the sighs and feel the frustration. Some people just say it outright. People avoid me. Who can blame them? I probably would too! It has to be awkward for people! So I try not to be a hassle too often. Knowing me requires patience. People often apologize for talking to me and making me type and that makes me so sad. My hand could be falling off and Iβd still see it as a privilege to βtalkβ with you. No need to apologize.
For those who arenβt familiar with my story, hereβs a link to a very old version I wrote. I havenβt really updated it because itβs not something I like to relive. https://ginaovercomes.com/89-2/

One very important thing that everyone should definitely know about me is that the people in my life will always be more special to me than anything else in this world! I know what it feels like for everything to disappear and people that I care about will always remain what I miss the most. If I know you in any way, you are probably important to me. Itβs really tough to get me to really dislike anyone. I try to understand the worst behavior because I know what itβs like to need understanding and how amazing it feels to be understood instead of vilified. I like to see the best in people. Iβm not dumb, I know evil exists, I just prefer not to live always expecting it.
Iβm extremely loving but Iβm also very sarcastic and blunt. Iβm the queen of βTMIβ. Itβs very hard to embarrass me. Any attempts are usually nothing in comparison to what I say to myself. Iβm my own biggest bully. People have accused me of being tough but thatβs only when absolutely necessary. You might know that expression- donβt get someoneβs Irish up-I donβt like it but itβs a skill that you learn when you have a toddler. People only appreciate βtoughβ when itβs working for them, not against them.
Hereβs me as a kid and me now

I donβt have time for unnecessary drama and I HATE gossip. I think this world is extremely hard on people already and everyone deserves grace. Especially yourself.
I have an extremely dirty mind. I think itβs because βdirtyβ things are so taboo to people so itβs funny to see people get shocked and embarrassed π
Iβm definitely not shy or someone that you should take to a fancy party.
Just recently, a guy apologized for saying something raunchy but it didnβt even phase me. His friend said- are you kidding? I had to ramp up the dirty jokes when she started coming around!
Softball teams are bad already. I should probably be embarrassedβ¦..but Iβm not! ππ
Iβm definitely not the βdebutantβ type. I have never been into material things. The only designer names that I know, I learned from tv or music. Iβm not into shoes, handbags, clothes, etcβ¦.. I donβt get my nails done or fancy hair cuts. I wouldnβt feel differently if I became a billionaire. I just donβt care about those thingsβ¦..but I do have favorite people. I donβt care what anyone owns, their job title, or about their past. I care about how they treat others. I take care of myself so anything you provide to my life is just excellent cherries on top. No obligations, just from the heart. Just for me. Most of the material things that I ever WANTED were for other people. I love giving to people. Iβm not so great at accepting things. I think I convinced myself that I donβt deserve anything.

People who knew me before…..things are so different now. People who know me now, know mostly just what they see in the short time that they see me.
I realized that I’m trying to share useful information with others but how can I expect people to accept it from a stranger? Especially in this time when so many things are scams and I warn everyone to be wary of strangers. Even people who see me all the time or have known me for years don’t really KNOW me because I have to limit what I say. It’s not that I’m hiding anything but because I’m something I loathe being- AN INCONVENIENCE. But that also means that people who truly don’t mind or the people who make a real effort to talk to meβ¦.. I definitely notice and those people are so special to me.
So I wanted to share some basic stuff. I don’t like talking about myself but it often requires sacrifice to help others right? I’ll cover the basics. I’m definitely not shy but I reserve anything too deep for people I’m very close with.
I’m the oldest of four siblings who grew up together. My youngest sister passed away a few years ago. There was a big age difference so she was like my child. After she was born, I remember sitting outside my parents room when she napped because I was going to be there if she needed anything. I miss her dearly!
Thanks to DNA testing, I was gifted with something I always wanted. An older sister who I love so much! And the extra bonus of knowing my four nephews and her husband. I wish I had known her all my life. She moved out to California so I havenβt gotten to meet her but maybe one dayβ¦β¦..
I have two children who I love dearly. They are such smart girls! I wasn’t shown how to be a great mother but I hope they know that I love them more than anything else in this world and that will forever be unconditional!

In 2008, I was just going about my business and BAM! I got so sick and couldβve died. I contracted meningococcal encephalitis. This illness is considered a brain injury. Unlike the common acronym TBI (traumatic brain injury), itβs considered an ABI (acquired brain injury). This means it was internal with no outside trauma, like a car accident. The parts of my brain that were affected were the parts that control my physical health, not my mental health. Some people just assume Iβm nice and naive because of my illness but thatβs not why I am the way I am. I have always been like this. I just donβt see any benefit from being a miserable idiot. You live thinking miserable thoughts and get depressed, it hurts others and makes people avoid you. I just donβt see the benefit.
I definitely have many days where I want to choke whoever has my voodoo doll and I wonder if I cut off a voodoo priest back in the day. But then I look back on my life and think that it had to be something my parents did and someone put a curse on their first child because most of my life has been pretty bad. I donβt get the happy life. Anything good, never lasts very long. So Iβve had to learn to just be ok with what does go right, for the short time I get it. Thatβs why I appreciate the little things more than most people do. I know how fast everything can just disappear and how fleeting life is. Many things really worth admiring, are like sunsets or shooting stars. So beautiful but go by so fast and if you blink, you might miss it. But if you always keep your head down, youβll miss EVERYTHING. It hurts my heart to see people distanced from each other for the stupidest reasons! Everything can drastically change in seconds so appreciate the wonderful people you are privileged to know while you can.

This illness caused nerve damage. I can stand and use a walker but Iβm very ataxic. I drop so many things. My balance is awful. So everything I do feels like I’m playing Jenga on a tightrope. A good way that I found to describe it is – when you get so cold that your insides shake. You lose control over your own movements and have trouble holding things – I used to hate it but I’ll take that temporary cold, instead of this 24/7. I remember a few people saying things like – just relax. Thinking I was nervous. I was like – I’m glad you’re so confident but please don’t flatter yourself, you aren’t causing this. Iβm just always nice but when I deal with new people, who donβt know this, they often think Iβm flirting with them haha I thought about correcting people but then I thoughtβ¦..someone liking you is a wonderful feeling and Iβm willing to seem like a weirdo to make someone smile so I let them think that.
I have been casually told about wives and have gotten invitations. Itβs funny to me because I wasnβt even trying ππ
I foot ambulate and thank goodness because my wrists are weak now so I wouldnβt be able to go as many places as I do. I give SO much credit to people who can only use their arms! It’s really difficult!
I also canβt speak because of nerve damage. My vocal cords work and I can make sounds but the neural pathways, that tell my brain when I want them to work, were destroyed.
So I try to think about anything after getting sick as βbonus timeβ that I am very lucky to have. Many people arenβt so fortunate. I definitely have plenty of moments when I feel like living after everything is a punishment. Like the evil genius who has my voodoo doll constantly makes me feel that things might just be okay and then pulling the rug out from under me the minute I let my guard down. I purposely donβt want things much because I when I do, Iβm allowed to get close enough to feel great and then it is often taken in some of the cruelest ways. But overall, I try to stay positive.

I have scars on my neck from two central lines. The doctor messed up the first one and blamed me for moving! I had very bad ataxia and I couldnβt stop shaking. I think the first one was really a vampire bite because I wasnβt expected to live, plus my sense of smell and sense of hearing are so extra π
I wear masks in big crowds and people might think itβs because of germs (only reason needed for Walmart) but itβs really because I have horrible allergies and I can smell everythingβ¦..strong and all at once. It gets overwhelming.
Same with music. I love music and one of the many reasons is that if thereβs no music, I hear everything all at once. Even peopleβs private conversations. Thatβs not me! I feel wrong listening to other peopleβs conversations but my brain has lost the ability to filter anything out with sounds and smells. Music gives me something to focus on.
Headphones and a mask block everything out.

I hate when people say that they respect and donβt pity me but their actions show the exact opposite. Actions speak louder than words. So many big life decisions were made for me already so when people take my remaining decisions and make them for me, it cuts deeper than anything they are trying to βsaveβ me from. Because of that, I have become so closed off to people. Armor. Very βmatter of factβ. I definitely am aware of that because it kinda contradicts my other thoughts about appreciating people. I tend to keep people at a distance because when I appreciate people too much, they tend to disappoint me or disappear.
People feel empowered to say some awful things or ask really inappropriate questions just because you’re in a wheelchair. I’m finding that people feel safer asking crazy questions with women, as opposed to men. Instead of getting mad, I make them feel just as uncomfortable as they tried making me but jokes on them, I’m not easily made to feel uncomfortable.
One wild question has actually been asked a few times. “Is sex hard?” I say – only when the handcuffs are too tight or he whips me too hard.-
I’ll embarrass you instead π
I have had people pray over me or perform some really weird rituals. Iβm not religious but if that makes them feel good and I have a few minutesβ¦..why not?
I believe that you should aim to learn at least 2 new things everyday, that your smile can be exactly what someone needs so you should share it, that if you see anyone being left out, you should always find a way to include them, compliments are free so even the poorest people can afford to give them as much as possible and β¦..itβs rarely too late to do the right thing, even if the outcome might not be what you want, you owe it to them and yourself. Unfinished business can hurt you too. None of those things cost a thing so the only barrier would be you.
Be careful with your words because they have the power to reach places that a weapon never could.

I definitely donβt trust easy but itβs about my past so please donβt take it personally!
Trust and loyalty are two things I fiercely believe in. I know that is what I always give but expecting it in return is asking too much from some people. Oh people always want it and will expect it from you but donβt always see it as something they should also have to give to others. Always treat people how you want to be treated. You donβt always get the same in return but at least you know that you did YOUR best!
Disappearing from my life is something people do to me quite often. This is something I hate. I donβt think anyone appreciates this. Donβt do this to people. Especially not anyone in my type of situation. Someone who has had most major decisions made for them and now must live where almost every single aspect of their life is decided by somebody else. Where I can live, how much money I can have, drs I can see, medical tests Iβm allowed, medications allowed, where I can go, how much help I can haveβ¦..I can go on butβ¦..limiting each thing, keeps you more dependent on all of the other things in some form. Itβs kind of like spitting into a fan. Unless I win the lottery or something, thatβs not going to change. Isnβt that wonderful? No hope for much of a future allowed unless you get creative. Many people have the βdriveβ but the government wonβt allow you to have more than $2000 or you can lose the medical insurance that your life really depends on, the roof over your headβ¦..everything! People I never even met are making major decisions for me constantly. Do you know how horrible that feels? We become numbers on a piece of paper and if those numbers are acceptable enough, a stranger can decide if you are worthy. It is an awful feeling! You feel like you have little control over your own life. This is why I donβt get close with many people often. People see stubborn and closed off but you should look a little closer.
People will fiercely try to convince me that they have great qualities and I resist being their friend. Not because of them, because trauma can make you really skeptical. All the times you believed when someone swore that they would always be there for you and then simply disappeared when things got tough or even looked right at you suffering and basically showed that they didnβt care. No explanation. Just here one day and gone the next. Why do people take resistance as a challenge? Like your life is some game to play and just toss when it gets too hard or not entertaining enough. If you donβt know if youβll stick around, just please stay away. Or at least give them closure instead of confusion.

I have been told:
-my life was chaos and you didnβt deserve that! I wanted to fix myself first. Please forgive me! Letβs be friends again! (I love when people decide what I need or deserve, donβt you?)
-I had so much going on in my own life (I donβt ask people for anything so Iβm not sure why that matters)
Did you think Iβd start and anticipated it being βtoo muchβ for you? (Great friend)
-youβve been through enough already! (Blaming the victim is awesome! And youβre basically saying that I am not capable of knowing how much I can handle?)
Things I have said in response:
-thatβs such a cowardly excuse
-youβre suddenly an expert on whatβs best for me?
-How brave can you be if you canβt even calm someoneβs heart with a simple text? Either cowardly or you think Iβm a stalker.
-Maybe I love chaos because thatβs my life too. Maybe it makes me feel understood and needed but you took that decision from me. Not just once. You continued to make that decision for me every single day since then.
-I worry about people that I care about and you could have ended my suffering by facing your own bad actions but instead, you chose to make me suffer daily? So although I forgive you, I donβt trust you anymore and thatβs not something you can get easily.
-Punishing me again for going through something awful and then still supporting another personβs darkness? Making me suffer again because of something that almost took my life?! I donβt think that you really understand what you did to me because you might think in a different way. So let me explain.
I blame myself EVERY SINGLE TIME someone does that! I worried that you got hurt and were in the hospital. Even if you were a jerk, I will overthink everything I said and assume that I caused you to act that way. I tie myself in knots with worry. You gave me some good moments(that you obviously considered charity)and then you decided that your heartaches were more important than mine were so it was justified to just disappear from my life? Destroying every good memory of you. Thank you!

-I donβt chase people, beg for attention or ask people for much so not sending a simple text to explainβ¦..that could have eased my sufferingβ¦..do you really think that you were being a good friend?
At first, I worry relentlessly but eventually, Iβll start to dislike you more every day because of how you made me feel. Every good feeling slowly destroyed and replaced with bitterness. Thank you. Thatβs the only decision and feeling that you left me with. So please donβt blame me.
So many big decisions were already taken from me and someone who decides to casually take another decision away from me, without truly considering my feelings, was never my friend. A quick text to explain might be mildly uncomfortable for you for a few minutes but apparently you are more important than meβ¦..in your eyes.
I love friends who genuinely understand me.

I felt punished for trusting people every time. Some would blame the other person but an empath will constantly blame themselves. EVERY TIME, It steals a piece of who you are, that youβll never get back, and closes you off to the world further. It does a lot more damage than some people think. But it also makes you appreciate the people who do stick around, even more.
Iβm the first person who would be there for anyone in a crisis! I donβt care if itβs 3am and you just need to talk or if youβre hurting and just need a hug, Iβll do my best to get to you. Iβm not naive or oblivious, I just choose to be this way. I know how it feels to be so scared and need support. Itβs a terrifying thing when you suffer an unexpected tragedy but it gets so much worse when the people, who swore they loved you, just leave you to suffer alone. I never want people to feel that lost, like I did.
Most people lose so many friends after becoming disabled. βItβs just too much!β
If itβs too much for you, imagine how much more it is for the person actually going through it.
I have had lifelong friends who were clearly choosing not to be in my life anymore because I was too much of an inconvenience. Sounds like a big missed opportunity to teach children compassion.

A simple change to just texting occasionally is nicer than scorched earth though. And keep in mind that this was something horrific that happened to ME and Iβm suffering but people treated me like I wronged them! Trust me, I definitely didnβt want any of this.
Friends who fall back are really messed up but thereβs a difference. These people would still be there for me if I needed to text them. People who just disappear from my life, thatβs just evil!
I feel like Charlie Brown with the football. Every time, I feel like itβs my fault more and more. Every time, it steals a piece of me that Iβll never get back. The best parts of me that still has faith in other people. So to the people who think they are being a great person by making a big sacrifice, you definitely are not. Youβre doing much more damage than you realize.
Family is a different story. I have a pretty big extended family.
Only a handful even came to visit while I was in the hospital dying! My own father didnβt even come. That all really stung! Especially when I thought about how I was always there for everyone else my entire life. As soon as I was old enough to babysit, my free time was scarce. I have lived in this apartment for almost fifteen years and most of my family doesnβt even know my address. The worst are the ones who know it but donβt use it. My own mother has never been here or even sent a birthday card. Sheβs a very hateful person. She was always unreasonably mean to me. Friends would always ask why. When I was an adult, she told me- I was always mean to you because you reminded me of your father. – something I couldnβt help, very logical. I was a reminder of the mistake that halted two teenagers from living their lives. I didnβt choose to hurt anyone. My father passed away years ago and Iβd never be happy about anyoneβs death but for personal reasons, Iβm not sad about it!
You learn a lot about people when you are no longer useful to them.
I didn’t have much of a childhood. I was shown early that even the people who should love you, canβt always be trusted. That helped set the outlook for my entire life. I don’t trust anyone easily. I hate being like that but it’s automatic. Some wounds never fully heal.
If I was raised in this time period, Iβd absolutely be taken from my parents!
I broke my foot when I was only two because my βparentsβ had me bring them this heavy glass ashtray and I dropped it.
Thatβs just one example.
My friends would call me Cinderella because I was always punished, for very long times and for the stupidest reasons. Theyβd say-what did you do this time? Leave a crumb on the counter?-
I was never punished from babysitting though. I spent most of my time being a mother to other peopleβs children and wasnβt able to be a kid or enjoy my siblings. Itβs ironic that most people think almost dying and becoming disabled was the worst thing that ever happened to me but it was just a terrible thing that took me away from some of the worst people and put me around some of the best people.

I was born in Long Beach, NY and lived there during most of my childhood. The boardwalk is great in the warmer months. You aren’t really supposed to go on to the beach after hours….. but we did. There’s nothing to do in the winter except for things that get kids in very bad situations. It kind of felt like whack-a-mole, parents telling you to get out but police yelling at you for loitering outside. We were always outrunning someone. They created the monsters that they hate.
I am mostly Irish, some Nordic and German. I love that show “Vikings”. After seeing the results of a DNA test, I said- my great, great, great, great grandfather and his friends probably pillaged my great, great, great, great grandmother’s village and left a present π€·πΌββοΈπ I have a twisted mind.
I donβt have an aide or help with housework so Iβm always doing something.
Thatβs another reason that I distance myself from people. I feel like a bad friend when Iβm always βtoo busyβ and then forget to text back. Taking care of an entire house, when you canβt walk, itβs very tough. So if I make time AND remember to text you the same day tooβ¦.. itβs a miracle π
It definitely should not be taken personally! If itβs urgent, just keep calling! I canβt answer a phone call but itβll get my attention.
I have two pets who I love dearly. A bearded dragon and a leopard gecko. So when you see me, I mightβve just been playing with bugs and watching something better than Animal Planet. They arenβt very traditional pets and nothing I planned but they have helped me so much, just by being there living and breathing. Their simple wants and needs always put things in perspective for me. Plus my bearded dragon gives these funny βjudgmentalβ looks that just scream for captions.
I think she has some weird attachment issues because she stares at me constantly but when I go to take her out, she doesnβt want to. Sheβs like those paintings with eyes that follow you.

I go out 6 days a week. I feel like changes on a piece of paper are much easier to ignore than seeing the need first hand. So if you can go out, do it! Help it become a normal thing to see because visual necessity can bring more change instead of those changes seeming unnecessary on paper. Iβm so happy every time I see someone out in a wheelchair. I can go places for months and see none. Thatβs a big problem. Next week, count how many people you see in wheelchairs (outside of work) and think about it. Their own wheelchair, not those people using store scooters. I see people in wheelchairs weekly at wheelchair softball but I mean in everyday life.
People should understand that a person doesnβt just stop loving to do things they always have, the world just makes a lot of things harder to get to when you are disabled.

Speaking of wheelchair softball. I used to play but I had hand surgery so I just watch. I also go support my friends playing sled hockey. I tried it and would love to play but there are so many obstacles in my life that get in the way. I love going to watch both and seeing the amazing things these people can do. Itβs so good for the soul. Besides being amazing athletes, most of these people have such big hearts and are so willing to help others! They know real fear and loneliness. They automatically understand something about you that only someone who has been through it could. Empathy is awesome but itβs different when someone just KNOWS. Even if the situations are very different, itβs similar shared heartaches that need to be experienced to be fully understood. Please go to my YouTube page to see many videos of both. If youβre in the area, please come play or even watch! Amazing people to support!

I go to the gym about ten hours a week. Itβs a great outlet. I have never seen another person, who uses a wheelchair, there ever before. I think Iβm the only member who uses a wheelchair. Iβve caught people filming me a few times. Who knows if Iβm a meme or something now haha
So help me out and go out as much as you can so it becomes more normal to see someone in a wheelchair and people stop treating it like a Bigfoot sighting.
They needed to install a separate door for me because my wheelchair canβt fit in the new entry βpodsβ. Itβs soul crushing every single time I have to use it. Iβm switching to a different gym.
I also go to occupational therapy twice a week. Itβs much more than that to me because most people there have helped me way beyond just therapy. They are like my family! One of my favorite things is making people smile. Being that I canβt speak, I love to show people funny memes to brighten their day. Their laughter and βOh Gina! Iβd expect nothing less from you!β Is music to my ears! I love that when people see me, theyβre often already smiling because they know whatβs coming. I get kind of inappropriate but whatβs life if you canβt laugh at things. I always tell people that I constantly laugh at myself when Iβm alone. They watch, when I think nobodyβs looking, and can attest to that! If I got hurt in a funny way, I may be bleeding but Iβll probably be laughing too π
I hope they know that I hear every one of their voices, throughout the week, every time I do anything that they have helped me with and thank them every time.
When the weather is good, I like to go to my local park and exercise on the parallel bars. Iβll do laps for hours. Tippy toed, one handed, sidewaysβ¦.. and a few other exercises. I like being active because I like being independent. Being strong helps me stay that way.
I am definitely that weird lady who feeds the squirrels. They remember me and will chase me down π
Thereβs a one handed squirrel in that area. Heβs my buddy! It must be so hard for a squirrel with a missing hand. At first, I thought he probably got picked on but he definitely holds his own.

I have some quirks (ok A LOT)
Like…..
my socks can’t touch the floor before going in my shoes.
I’m obsessed with everything being even.
I donβt like anything hanging off a counter or table (not even a tiny bit). I think that precarious situation bothering me, is quite symbolic.
My cabinets are a situation that would make Julia Roberts panic like in βsleeping with the enemyβ
I love numerology but not math. After they start involving letters, I’m out.
I think people put too much faith in washing machines so I have a certain side of towels that dry certain areas every time.
I hate crumbs in bed or water all over the counter and way stranger things that I won’t get into….. I’m just weird ok?! I own it.
I do those things when nobody is around so most people would never know. I had most of those habits since I was little but a few came about after I got sick. I believe that when big things happen to us, that we can’t control, people often develop those little oddities as a way of taking back a little control of something.
People often say that someone is stubborn or set in their ways but I think itβs trying to βright the shipβ. When everything is so out of control, trying to keep some tiny control, may seem like weβre being ridiculous and worrying about something trivial but itβs much bigger than that. Kinda like holding on to βinsignificantβ things like a flower or a wheelchair dial π
I feel like most people who are disabled, develop a comorbidity or many of them.
Comorbidity means having two or more health problems at the same time. One problem is the main focus, and the extra problems are the comorbidities that often result from the main illness. These can be physical, mental, or a mix of both. For example, a person with diabetes might also have depression or high blood pressure. These things usually happen because of the primary problem and probably wouldnβt exist without it. Like having back problems or joint issues from being in a wheelchair, a medication that helps your diabetes but gives you high blood pressure, a prosthetic that gives you the ability to walk but getting pressure sores from it, that just take it away again, circulation and obesity issues from not being able to move like before, brain fog from having to remember to do so much, OCDβ¦.. that list can go on and on.
Not being able to talk to people is way more than the inconvenience people think it is. I donβt or canβt share stories, contribute to conversations (my sarcastic comments were something I loved), yell to get someone’s attention (I look for something to throw sometimes), I can’t fully release my emotions or tell people how I feel…out loud (good and bad). Life gives me daily reasons when I really just need to scream into a pillow but I canβt. My way of communicating is very inconvenient for people. I can’t even communicate with kids who can’t read or people who can’t read English. I hate being a bother so there’s a lot I want to say but don’t. It’s tough. Especially since I used to be so “loud” haha

Some of my favorite personality traits, thankfully donβt need to be heard. Empathy and pure love are mostly felt with the heart and reaches the soul. Those are two things that can never be fully fabricated. People do try but canβt keep faking it if itβs not βthemβ. Other people notice the disingenuous after awhile. Some people hide these traits because many see them as a weakness. I personally think that stifling any part of yourself for the comfort of others or to fit in, is cheating yourself and that is the real weakness. We only get one life (that we remember) and you shouldnβt waste a minute altering who you are or what you genuinely feel.
I have had many nicknames over the years. Iβm the fourth Regina so a lot of family and friends of my parents always call me baby Gina. Still! Wrinkles and all π
Growing up, mostly everyone called me G.
One of my favorites was GiGi. My little sister said that she wanted a name for me that only she used. I really miss her!
Remember life is all about perspective and most people have different ones. If I see a piece of a wheel, I may think that itβs someone I know. A new mom might think βstrollerβ. A kid might think βbicycleβ. Learn to expect any of those things.
I have been called some of the worst names (mostly by family)
But Iβve also been called some very amazing things too. Those touch my heart deeply. Iβll never forget them. All the good words, leave less room for the bad.
I have been given some hilarious nicknames that make me smile. Even months later, when I remember them, they help me laugh through the worst times. Like fluffer or a recent favorite, GSpot ππ
But the name that will always be #1 in my heart is mama
Like most people, I have made many mistakes in life but don’t judge someone too harshly when you don’t know what the other options were. I never did anything with malice in my heart.
If you ever need to talk, Iβm always here to listen. Please never doubt that! Even at 3am. Either email me or go to my Facebook link and message me. Feel free to share any of my stories and remember that I canβt see who views my page unless they tell me.
Iβll continue this another time. I know Iβll remember a lot that I left out. I hate writing about myself. Thank you for listening!
Check out some old stories https://ginaovercomes.com/archives/
I also encourage people to write their story, a poem, anything (within reason) and Iβll share it here. It doesnβt have to have anything to do with a disability or be written by someone who has one.
