Magnesium
Let me say- I’m nowhere near being an expert on any subject and definitely encourage everyone to do their own research & ask a doctor or expert on any subject.
I’m just a nerd who loves researching things and wants to share my personal experiences
What Is Magnesium?
Magnesium is a mineral that’s crucial to the body’s function. Magnesium helps keep blood pressure normal, bones strong, and the heart rhythm steady.
Experts say that many people in the U.S. aren’t eating enough foods with magnesium like years ago. Adults who get less than the recommended amount of magnesium are more likely to have elevated inflammation markers. Inflammation, in turn, has been associated with major health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. Also, low magnesium appears to be a risk factor for osteoporosis.
There’s some evidence that eating foods high in magnesium can help prevent high blood pressure in people with prehypertension.
Magnesium is an important mineral, playing a role in over 300 enzyme reactions in the human body. It’s many functions include helping with muscle and nerve function, regulating blood pressure, and supporting the immune system. It regulates mood and energy levels too like depression and anxiety. Even sleep.
After a brain injury & the onset of many conditions, magnesium levels seem to get really low and it’s unexplainable.
I was getting really bad headaches almost daily and a neurologist suggested that I try magnesium. I didn’t think that a vitamin could really help much but figured I’d try it and it did. It helped with much more than just my headaches. I’ve been taking it ever since.
Just research types because magnesium can cause your stomach to be upset but there are several brands that have supplements that avoid this.
It’s linked to worsening of many ailments, both physical and mental.
