Happy holidays!

Listen to this article

I was thinking about an old memory of having to mourn my cousin on my birthday and running to Christmas shop for my kids between his two wakes. I always spent my birthday and Christmas Eve shopping but not because I procrastinated. It was because I had to wait for my holiday bonus. I was thinking back on it and how I never once thought about what I could buy for myself. That’s just always been automatic for me. The things we do for our kids & others we love.
I remember the times when my kids were being so bad around Christmas so I’d call my brother and say “HI SANTA” & he’d know what to do. They usually improved drastically after that 😂
I miss the days when all the family got together. People don’t do that as much anymore. People dread parties and doing things. Just remember that if you’re invited somewhere or to do anything, it’s because you have people who love you and want to see you! Some people don’t have that. Some people forget how special that is. It’s funny how some complain about quarantine and then complain that they would rather watch tv at home instead.
I’ve seen how fragile life is and how fast it can end. When it’s ending, do you think you’ll care about what you owned or how much money you had? Most people care about missed opportunities with people and the time with them that they’ll never get back. Try to appreciate those things now. That comfy, expensive, silk coffin will feel the same to you as a pine box.
Cremate me and put me in a coffee can & if I find out anyone wasted any money on me, I’ll haunt you 😂
Buy yourself something totally frivolous from me, please!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season! I hope that people get to see as many loved ones as possible and connect with the rest in whatever way possible! I had the privilege of spending Christmas with some of my favorite people ever! You guys are awesome! Thank you!😘🤗
