Wheelchair repair

Listen to this article

I’m pretty handy with tune ups and maintenance but I couldn’t fix this. I needed 2 new front wheels. I definitely wouldn’t have been sneaking up on anyone 😂

It makes you feel extremely tough when a pebble or twig can cause big problems.

The people here are super nice & I absolutely love that most of the techs are in wheelchairs! You know they completely understand what you are talking about & just how important something so minor can really be!

The tech that always helps me is super sweet. I had sudden issues with my brakes not working & I know he could’ve made me make another appointment but he fixed them and I got new wheels! The things we’re reduced to getting excited over 😂😂

Tip-You know how wheelchair companies charge so much for drink holders? I got one at Walmart, for a bicycle. $7 & it’s Velcro so it fits on various things and is easily transferred.

Gina

Hi! My name is Gina. I had Meningoencephalitis in 2008 and I've been in a wheelchair since then. Meningoencephalitis is a rare and life-threatening condition in which you have meningitis and encephalitis at the same time. Healthcare providers may also call it encephalomeningitis. Meningitis is an infection or inflammation of the area surrounding your brain and spinal cord (meninges). I really like writing and absolutely love helping other people!
